World Series

So I have not been blogging much.  I've been knitting, crocheting, binding quilts and watching baseball.  I am so very excited that the Texas Rangers are going to the World Series for the first time.  People of Texas are so pumped up.  If I have to hear "how 'bout them Rangers..."  But I am just as happy as they are, I'd just like to find something more interesting to say.  I can't think of anything because, as you've noticed by now, I am not very witty.  Not like the Yarn Harlot who amazes me with her high intellect and wry wit.  She makes me hoot with laughter.  So I guess I'll just say, "How 'bout them Rangers?!!!" So Wednesday night it begins.  SF Baseball Giants and the Texas Rangers.  It will be a great series.

So tonight I'll start another quilt binding.  My schedule demands that I finish more stuff since Christmas is only 61 days ahead of me.  I will need to bind niece number 2's quilt, complete the back of DH's sweater, get to 100 rows on the garter prayer shawl and complete the gussets on my dad's socks.  So far, I have gotten bunches done!

The Capelet (2nd time) is complete, although this is not a very good picture.  I think it looks better on someone.  One of my co-workers tried it on for me and it looked great on her.  So hopefully it will look great on my sister!

I also completed my oldest nieces quilt.  here's a couple shots of that one:

The pattern is from Keepsake Quilting, called Hokey-Pokey.  Weird name.  But cute and easy to make.  I really like the bali batiks in this.  My niece wanted pink and green but I thought, well she is grown up now, nearly 20 so maybe pink and green in a more mature fashion.

So I am trying to keep my ADD in check and stick to the current list of items to finish but my mind wanders to the next and the next and the next projects.  Tonight, binding, tomorrow night, sock gussets, wednesday is BASEBALL!!! shh, I didn't mean to yell that, so I'll work on the sweater back, if possible.  Thursday will probably be baseball and quilt binding.  We'll see how it goes.  I find that with baseball, there's the pitch, I look, knit, knit, play on the field, knit, knit, knit, next batter...etc., so it goes.  I know that it works with quilt binding.

So what are you making?  let me know.
